3. Watched Folder Sync
The frustration: PDFs accumulating in Downloads while Zotero stays out of date.
The most common failure point in academic reference management is the gap between reading and capturing. A researcher discovers a paper, downloads the PDF, opens it in Acrobat or Preview, reads it, and closes it. The PDF is now in Downloads. Zotero does not know it exists. 8. Zettelkasten ID Gen
